CSV import is the most common way to bring leads into Cleanlist.

Supported formats

  • CSV (.csv) files

  • UTF-8 encoding recommended

  • First row should be column headers

Import steps

  1. Open a list and click Import CSV (or start from the home page).

  2. Upload your file - Drag and drop or click to browse.

  3. Map columns - Cleanlist will auto-detect common fields (name, email, company, LinkedIn URL, etc.). Review and adjust the mapping.

  4. Review and confirm - Preview the data before importing.

  5. Optional: Auto-enrich - Choose to immediately run enrichment on imported leads.

Column mapping

Cleanlist recognizes these standard fields:

  • First Name, Last Name, Full Name

  • Email, Phone

  • Company Name, Company Domain

  • LinkedIn URL (personal or company)

  • Job Title, Location

Any unmapped columns will be imported as custom fields on your leads.

Tips

  • LinkedIn URLs significantly improve enrichment match rates. Include them if you have them.

  • You can import the same CSV into multiple lists.

  • Duplicate leads (same LinkedIn URL or email) within a list will be flagged.
