Who this is for: self-serve plans (Free, Starter, Pro, Enterprise). If you bought a Cleanlist AppSumo lifetime deal, your features, limits, and pricing are different. See the AppSumo documentation instead. Support agent: confirm whether the user is self-serve or AppSumo before giving plan-specific advice.
TL;DR: There is no Manual Enrichment page. To add one person, open a list and use Actions (⌘A) → Import → Manual entry (LinkedIn URL, or first name + last name + company domain). Adding is free; Email is 1 credit per email found and Phone is 10 per phone found. Use Reverse Email Lookup when you only have an email (2 credits, match or not), Reveal email / Reveal phone in Find People, and Enrich Contact (0.2 per contact found) to refresh a lead's profile.
Add and enrich single leads
Every single-lead action lives inside a lead list or in Find People. Pick the one that matches what you have:
You have | Use | Cost |
A name and company, or a LinkedIn URL | [Manual entry](#manual-entry) | Free to add; 1 per email found, 10 per phone found |
Only an email address | [Reverse Email Lookup](#reverse-email-lookup) | 2 credits per email, match or not |
A person in Find People search results | [Reveal email / Reveal phone](#reveal-from-find-people) | 1 per email found, 10 per phone found |
A lead already in a list whose title or location is stale | [Enrich Contact](#refresh-a-lead-with-enrich-contact) | 0.2 per contact found |
A lead in a list missing an email, phone or personal email | [Enrich a lead in a list](#enrich-a-lead-already-in-a-list) | 1 / 10 / 1.5 |
You can also add a person from their LinkedIn profile with the browser extension side panel.
Manual entry
Open Lead Lists and open the list the lead should go into.
Press ⌘A (or click Actions), go to the Import tab and click Manual entry.
On the Prospect 1 card, choose LinkedIn or Manual:
LinkedIn: paste the person's LinkedIn URL.
Manual: fill in First Name, Last Name and Company Domain (all three are required).
Click Add Another Prospect to add more people in the same go.
Under Enrichment Type, tick Email (1 credit per email found), Phone (10 per phone found), both, or neither.
Click Start Enrichment (Email or Phone ticked) or Add Lead (neither ticked).
What to know:
LinkedIn entries need enrichment. A LinkedIn URL on its own has no name or company to save, so tick Email or Phone. To add someone without enrichment, use Manual with name and company domain.
Add Lead saves the person exactly as typed. No lookup runs and nothing is charged.
Enrichment is pay for results. You are charged only for an email or phone that is found.
The lead always goes into the list you have open. There is no "don't save" option; use a scratch list for quick lookups.
Company pages are blocked. A
linkedin.com/company/...URL can't be added as a person. Use Switch to Companies and add it on the Companies sheet, where Manual entry opens as Add Company.Duplicates are refused. You see "This LinkedIn profile is already in the list." or "A lead with this email is already in the list."
Supported URL formats:
https://www.linkedin.com/in/johndoe/,linkedin.com/in/johndoe,https://linkedin.com/in/johndoe.
Enriched emails come back with a deliverability status (Verified, Likely valid, Risky, Invalid or Unknown) in the list's Status column. For a second opinion, run Email Validation (0.5 credits per row, Starter and above) from Actions → Enrich.
Reverse Email Lookup
Use this when all you have is an email address. Cleanlist resolves the email to a person and imports them into the open list.
Open a list, then Actions → Import → Reverse Email Lookup.
Type the Email address and click Look up & import.
The result reads Lead imported into this list, No match found, or Already in this list.
For many emails at once, click Or upload a list of emails via CSV, upload a CSV or Excel file, and pick the column under Select the email column…. The panel shows the total before you start.
Cost: 2 credits per email, whether or not a match is found. It is a flat price for the lookup and the enrichment of a match.
Reveal from Find People
In Find People search results, each row has Reveal email (1 credit) and Reveal phone (10 credits) in its contact columns. Hover for the price; you are charged only when a result is found ("No charge if nothing is found.").
The revealed person is saved to a list: the list you opened Find People from, or otherwise your protected Extension Leads list. To save many people at once, select them and use Add to list instead, which is free (enrichment is optional).
Refresh a lead with Enrich Contact
Enrich Contact refreshes title, location, seniority and skills from LinkedIn for leads already in a list. It is useful when people change jobs, or for rows you imported on a plan that keeps your columns (those imports skip the profile lookup).
Open the list, then Actions → Enrich → Enrich Contact.
In the run button's menu, choose Run on N rows (set the number) or Run on all N rows. To run on specific leads, select their rows in the grid first.
Cost: 0.2 credits per contact found, nothing if not.
It never changes emails or phone numbers.
It skips rows that are still waiting on the import profile lookup.
One run covers up to 10,000 leads.
Enrich a lead already in a list
To fill a missing email or phone for one lead, select its row (checkbox) and use Actions → Enrich in the selection bar, or open the drawer's Enrich tab:
Action | Cost |
Find Email | 1 credit per work email found |
Find Phone | 10 credits per phone found |
Find Personal Email | 1.5 credits per lookup attempt, hit or miss (details) |
If a cell shows Reveal email or Reveal phone, Cleanlist already holds that value but your workspace has not paid for it yet. Clicking it charges the normal price. See Managing lead lists.
Tips for better matches
A LinkedIn URL is the most reliable identifier.
Use the company's website domain (for example
acme.com), not a shortened name.Use the person's full first and last name rather than a nickname.
Start with Email only, then add Phone for the leads you will actually call.
